Landlords often own properties in different parts of London. But that shouldn’t mean having to deal with more than one estate agency.
At Metro 148 we’re happy to travel for our clients, ensuring they benefit from our low fees and excellent service wherever they’re letting or selling their assets.
While our core expertise is in Canary Wharf, Docklands and east London, director Angelou Beswick has years of experience dealing with property across the capital and is always happy to provide quotations or advice. We can also bring homes that are relevant to the attention of suitable prospective tenants.
Here’s an example
We’ve recently been asked to market a rental property in Maida Vale. Belgrave Street in NW8 is clearly outside our core business area. But as it’s close to the Jubilee line, it’s on a prime commuter route for both Canary Wharf and the City. That means its perfect for the kind of tenants we regularly find homes for – young, affluent professionals.
This sneak preview of the top floor, two-bedroom, furnished apartment, demonstrates how we make properties as attractive as possible to a landlord’s target market. That means in addition to high ceilings, wooden floors and quiet position, those looking to rent understand the many other relevant benefits.
Location for London transport
When choosing where to live in London transport is often top of the list. The closest station to this property is St John’s Wood on the Jubilee line (12 minutes on foot). That offers tenants connections to Waterloo, London Bridge and Canary Wharf in 9, 13 and 20 minutes respectively. Those connections mean workers in the City and Canary Wharf can expect commutes of less than half an hour.
But it’s also within 15 minutes walk of Maida Vale and Kilburn Park stations for the Bakerloo line, Kilburn High Road and South Hampstead for the London Overground and Swiss Cottage for the Jubilee. That’s enough options to ensure tenants can navigate all but the most catastrophic public transport failure and still get home on time.
Amenities on the doorstep
Living in almost any part of the capital brings with it easy access to world-class amenities. Belgrave Road puts residents within easy striking distance of London Zoo, Abbey Road recording studios where The Beatles recorded all of their albums and Lord’s cricket ground.
For those who like eating out the apartment has its own gastropub – The Salt House – on the corner, Lebanese cuisine nearby at The Cedar Restaurant and, a little further afield, swish watering hole The Elgin.
